On July 10, 2024, the Vietnam Solar & Storage Exhibition (SOLAR & STORAGE LIVE VIETNAM) was grandly held at the Sky Exhibition Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Osda, under its subsidiary Austa, showcased its new N-type TOPCon modules, battery products, and comprehensive solar-storage integration solutions at Booth C12.
As the pace of global energy transition accelerates, Vietnam, a major photovoltaic country in Southeast Asia, is also actively laying out its energy storage sector. In recent years, the Vietnamese government has introduced a series of policies to support the development of energy storage technologies, aiming to improve energy utilization efficiency and promote the development of green energy.
On July 3, the Vietnamese government officially issued a new decree, Decree No. 80/2024/ND-CP, which stipulates two models for electricity purchase – private lines and the national grid. This marks an important step towards the establishment of a complete retail electricity market, heralding a significant market transformation and epoch-making development opportunities for battery storage and new energy in Vietnam.
At the exhibition site, Austa's booth attracted a constant stream of visitors. Austa showcased 590W TOPCon modules and flexible modules tailored to the lighting conditions in Vietnam. The N-type TOPCon dual-glass modules boast numerous advantages, such as lower degradation, better high-temperature power generation performance, higher bifacial gains, superior low-light performance, lower shipping costs per watt, and lower levelized cost of electricity, enhancing the stability and reliability of power plants.
In addition, Austa's booth attracted in-depth interviews from local media, helping more Vietnamese users understand Austa's solar-storage products.
The most frequently inquired about products at the exhibition were the off-grid system solutions, which operate independently of the grid and mainly consist of off-grid inverters, photovoltaic modules, and batteries, providing flexible and reliable power supply for areas with limited or no electricity. Austa's off-grid system solutions are primarily used in places without public grids but with abundant solar resources. These systems use inverter-controller units to supply power to loads while charging battery packs; in the absence of sunlight, the batteries supply power to AC loads via inverters. These solutions are vital for remote mountainous areas, islands, plateaus, ships, and villas, offering stable and reliable power supplies.
The residential solar-storage integrated solutions are designed for homes, shops, restaurants, carports, and other small residential and commercial scenarios. Whether for self-consumption to reduce electricity costs or as backup power to avoid issues caused by power shortages or grid instability, they stand out for their excellent performance and reliable quality. Austa showcased both low-voltage and high-voltage storage system integrated solutions. The low-voltage storage inverters have been specifically enhanced with single PV operation and dual Back output support, while the high-voltage storage inverters feature the powerful AI AFCI function, tailored to meet local needs.
The Vietnam Solar & Storage Exhibition will conclude on July 11 local time. We sincerely invite you to visit Booth C12 for cooperation discussions!
